About Us

For two decades Mike Watkins along with his wife Joy have helped lead the marriage ministry at Ben Hill United Methodist Church in Atlanta GA, as well as the annual married couples retreat known as The Heart of Marriage Retreat. Mike has facilitated couples' workshops, conducted couple's bible studies, and is a certified Prepare & Enrich Facilitator. Mike and his wife Joy have been married since 1991. With the prompting of the Holy Spirit, Mike created The Joy Of Marriage as a marriage coaching practice working with couples to help them find the joy that God purposed in their marriage.

Unlike marriage counseling or therapy, marriage coaching with The Joy of Marriage is a solution based approach to partnering with engaged and married couples to help them set and reach their goals. We believe in coaching couples when things are already on solid ground to help them grow to avoid the crisis mode.

In addition to The Joy of Marriage, Mike is the Founder and Head Coach of The Joy Of Business Strategy. The Joy Of Business Strategy provides strategic coaching and consulting to businesses, churches, and faith-based organizations.
